Former Prosecutors Fighting for You
At Just Criminal Law, our team includes former prosecutors who once worked on the other side of the courtroom. Their experience gives our team insight into how the state’s cases are built and where they’re vulnerable. We understand how decisions are made when deciding what charges to bring against a defendant, how plea deals are evaluated, and how prosecutors tend to present their evidence at trial.
This insider knowledge becomes a powerful tool before and during litigation. It often helps us craft stronger defenses, anticipate prosecutorial strategies, and push back with confidence, whether in pre-trial motions or in front of a jury. We know how the system works because we’ve worked within it. Now, we put that experience to work for you.

Hire Attorneys Who Know Sundance
Criminal cases don’t unfold the same way everywhere. Courtroom dynamics, prosecutorial habits, and even judicial preferences can vary significantly from county to county. That’s why local experience can be a strategic asset in a criminal defense case.
Just Criminal Law has handled cases throughout Wyoming and is well acquainted with how things work in the Sundance area. We understand how Crook County prosecutors tend to approach certain charges, which arguments are more likely to resonate with local judges, and how to navigate procedural details. When your future is on the line, you want a legal team that already knows the landscape, not one that’s learning it for the first time.
Plea Bargains in Wyoming Criminal Defense Cases
Not every criminal case goes to trial. In fact, many are resolved through plea negotiations. But that doesn’t mean a plea deal is the right option for everyone, that all plea offers are in a defendant’s best interest, or that a plea deal will always be available.
A plea bargain or deal is essentially an agreement with the prosecution: you agree to plead guilty or no contest to a particular charge (or a reduced charge) in exchange for a more favorable sentence or the dismissal of other charges. Sometimes, this can be a smart, strategic move. Other times, it may shortchange your defense or saddle you with unnecessary penalties.
At Just Criminal Law, we help our clients understand:
- What a plea deal means
- What a plea deal doesn’t include
- What the risks and alternatives to the plea deal could be
We won’t pressure you into a deal that doesn’t make sense. Instead, we give you the information and guidance you need to make the right call for your case and your future. However, please keep in mind that we cannot guarantee that a plea deal will even be offered in your case.
