I-80 defines the southern edge of this region, and it is one of the most actively policed stretches of highway in Wyoming. The combination of long hauls, out-of-state traffic, and the interstate’s role as a drug corridor means that traffic stops on I-80 in Sweetwater and Uinta counties produce a disproportionate share of the drug and weapons charges we see in this part of the state.
